Offering children in Columbus safe spaces to learn and enjoy soccer
Investing in both youth sports and education allows us to extend our impact on the lives of children in our communities.
Through our work with the Columbus Crew Foundation, we have intentionally bridged academics with athletics by installing mini-pitches at one local school and two recreation centers in Columbus.
Mini-pitches are artificial turf or hard surfaces surrounded by a rebound board system with integrated goals that allow the ball to stay in play constantly. The mini-pitches we have installed are easily accessible by children of all ages throughout Columbus and give them a safe place to play and practice their soccer skills.
