In the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were humbled by the tremendous work we saw people around the world doing to help those impacted by the spread of the virus. We decided we had to do something to help people affected in our own communities of Cleveland and Columbus.

In March 2020, we pledged $1.5 million to COVID-19 relief funds throughout the state of Ohio. A portion of our donation went to the Greater Cleveland COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund, which was designed to complement the work of public health officials and expand efforts to address the outbreak. The rest of our donation supported the Columbus Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund, which assists nonprofit organizations responding to the spread of COVID-19, even in the wake of financial challenges.

In April 2020, we launched the Hats off to Our Heroes fund with the Cleveland Browns. Through this initiative, we committed 100% of the team’s net proceeds from 2020 Browns jersey sales to this fund, which focused on aiding health care professionals, first responders, educational professionals and other groups valiantly serving as role models in the face of significant adversity due to COVID-19.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support members of our community who are impacted by the pandemic and those who are battling COVID-19 on the front lines in Cleveland and Columbus.
