Emerald Academy is a free, independently-operated, K-8 college preparatory school in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Emerald Academy is Knox County's first public charter school and is managed by Emerald Youth Foundation's separate, not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization, Emerald Charter Schools. Emerald Academy is a K-8 school open to all students.
We are proud to support Emerald Academy's vision to dramatically increase the number of Knoxville students who graduate eighth grade well-prepared for high school and the college of their choice.
The school's four pillars, academic excellence, effective teaching, a highly relational culture grounded in high expectations and robust parent and community engagement are essential to ensuring the success of their students and we believe in their ability to help students achieve their dreams.
