Engaging students across northeast Ohio in arts education
Playhouse Square is a not-for-profit performing arts center located in Cleveland, Ohio with a mission of presenting and producing a wide variety of quality performing arts, advancing arts education and creating a destination that is a superior location for entertainment, business and residential living, thereby strengthening the economic vitality of the region.
In 2019, we gifted $1 million to Playhouse Square to expand its free Disney Musicals in Schools afterschool program. This program is designed to boost students' self-esteem, strengthen their communication skills and build positive relationships among students, faculty, staff and parents through musical theater.
We have attended the program and have seen firsthand how it engages students and their families. We know that engaged students are more likely to go to school when they are engaged in afterschool programs like Disney Musicals in Schools and we are proud to support this initiative and the great work Playhouse Square does to provide arts education throughout the region.
